Creative Design Guild & Upholstery was established 1999 in Clawson, MI. We are a family owned business started by Luann French and later joined by son Rodney French. CDG is proud to offer great craftsmanship and personalized service to our customers. We can redesign any style of furniture from midcentury to farmhouse, we love making old pieces new again.
What started as a small furniture and upholstery business ran out of our garage is now a thriving business with a dedicated team and storefront.

Luann did a spectacular job in helping me pick out fabric. I knew what I didn't want, and she helped me find what I did want. I had 4 dinning room chairs reupholstered and 2 occasional chairs. Work was done in a timely fashion, communication with them was great. I will defiantly use them again for all my needs!!!

Luanne was absolutely amazing to work with!! Her work is above all the rest! Her attention to detail and the level of quality in her craft is so hard to find! I have a high-end Italian sofa with hand stitching - Luanne's workmanship is the level of the Italian craftsmanship. My sofa looks like it came off the showroom floor. My interior designer was so impressed with her work -- he will use her services. I cannot wait to find my next piece so Luanne can put her magic touch on it and make it beautiful.
